Best platforms for selling digital products (2026)

Short answer

If you want no monthly fee and tax handled for you, start with Gumroad (10% + $0.50 per direct sale) or Lemon Squeezy (5% + 50¢, built for software and subscriptions); both act as merchant of record. Payhip is free with a 5% fee, or $99 a month for 0%. Sellfy charges a flat monthly fee (from $22 billed yearly) with 0% transaction fees. Creators selling from a link-in-bio page can use Beacons (free with 9% seller fees, 0% on Creator Plus) or Stan, and Ko-fi, Podia and Whop cover tips, courses and communities.

These platforms are listed because their official sites describe selling digital downloads, courses, memberships or software. Fees come from each vendor's own pricing page, read on 21 October 2026; payment-processor fees (Stripe, PayPal) usually apply on top unless the platform says otherwise. AI features differ a lot between them, so check what each one includes. How we review tools.

Which of these selling digital products tools have a free plan?

On their official sites, Payhip, Beacons, Ko-fi, Podia mention a free plan, free credits or a free trial. Limits change, so check each official pricing page.
